Kelantan FC’s next chapter: Muzakkir Hamid takes charge as CEO

He brings extensive knowledge, experience in sports development, particularly football

KOTA BARU – TRW Kelantan FC (Kelantan FC) appointed PAUiTM Malaysia Entrepreneur Affairs chairman Ahmad Muzakkir Hamid as the club’s chief executive officer effective today.

Kelantan FC said Muzakkir, a graduate of the Faculty of Sports and Recreation Science at Universiti Teknologi Mara Shah Alam, is an entrepreneur with extensive skills and experience in the development of sports, particularly football.

“He (Muzakkir) was also a key figure in the sale of 100% of Kelantan FC shares from the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) to Kelantan FC owner Norizam Tukiman on September 3, 2020.

“His vast experience in the corporate world and his position as chairman of the KAFA Sponsorship Committee will undoubtedly benefit the future of Kelantan FC,” said the football club in a statement.

Meanwhile, Muzakkir expressed gratitude to Kelantan FC for putting their trust in him to lead the club.

“In order to achieve success, I cannot do it alone; I need help from all parties, from the management to the players and others.

“My relationship with Norizam, the owner of Kelantan FC, has been established for a long time. Like me, he is an entrepreneur who overcame tough times to rise from the bottom and achieve success,” he said.

Muzakkir also thanked Norizam for the trust he placed in him.

“He (Norizam) is a courageous individual in many ways: he is courageous in the face of all problems, as well as opponents and enemies.

“Today, Norizam and I join forces in pursuit of success for Kelantan FC,” he said. – August 24, 2023
