Metre-deep flash flood hits Dengkil’s Kg Sri Tanjung

Seven family members evacuated following inundation

KUALA LUMPUR – A one-metre deep flash flood hit Kg Sri Tanjung in Dengkil this afternoon, resulting in the evacuation of seven family members.

In a statement today, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said the family did not sustain any injuries from the floods and had been moved to a safe place.  

The department added that at least two boats were deployed from the Cyberjaya station and another team from the Dengkil station. 

Earlier, METMalaysia said 13 states are expected to face thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds until 9pm today. – November 6, 2023
