[UPDATED] Agus-Wahab video case: police record Mr H’s statement

IGP has been reported as saying this today after individual failed to turn up yesterday

KUALA LUMPUR – Police today took the statement of “Mr H”, the alleged mastermind behind the video call scandal involving former Community Communications Department (J-Kom) director-general Datuk Mohammad Agus Yusoff and a junior staffer.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain was reported saying this by Bernama today.

Yesterday, Mr H failed to turn up at the Presint 11 police station in Putrajaya to have his statement recorded as he was ill.

Yesterday, Razarudin said police had also recorded statements from three individuals to assist in the investigation into a viral clip of the video call between Agus and J-Kom employee Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani.

Both Agus and Wahab in a press conference last Friday admitted to having a video call but said the audio in the clip was doctored to make it sound like a lewd conversation.

They both also said a Mr H who worked in J-Kom was behind the clip meant to tarnish Agus, and was the one who instructed Wahab to record the call for the purpose of entrapment

Agus has lodged a police report against Mr H, while police are still urging Wahab to come forward to assist with the investigation. – November 23, 2023
