Fire consumes six homes in Kampung Baru, no casualties reported

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation

KUALA LUMPUR – It took less than an hour for Fire and Rescue Department personnel to put out the blaze that engulfed six houses in Kampung Baru this morning.

While no one was injured, the cause of the fire in Lorong Raja Muda Musa 3 here remains under investigation. 

Fire department operations commander Muhamad Hafidz Yaacob said an emergency call was placed at 10.18am and the blaze was extinguished by 11.09am.

Fire engines and 16 firefighters in total from the Titiwangsa, Tun Razak and Sentul stations were deployed.

They managed to contain the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby houses. – January 29, 2024
