Khalid Samad’s second wife, Salwani, dies aged 43

She suffered from shortness of breath and rushed to hospital before pronounced dead

KUALA LUMPUR – The second wife of Amanah communications director and former minister Khalid Samad died this afternoon.

Salwani Yusof, 43, took her last breath at about 1pm at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) Kubang Kerian, Kota Bharu.

Khalid’s officer told Scoop that Salwani suffered from shortness of breath and was rushed to the hospital before being pronounced dead.

It is understood that she will be buried at Tok Kenali Muslim cemetery in Kota Bharu tonight.

The two were married on February 10, 2022 in Kubang Kerian. – February 5, 2024
