KLANG – The families of Roshaan Singh Raina, the 42-year-old co-pilot of the light aircraft model BK 160 Gabriel that crashed in Kg Tok Muda here, arrived at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah’s Forensic Department at about 8.10am this morning.
Minutes later, the families of pilot Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, 30, also arrived.
It is understood that the hospital staff took the two families to a special room for a briefing before carrying out the identification process.
Two policemen were also seen arriving at the forensic department at approximately 8.30am, presumably carrying samples.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar confirmed yesterday that the pilot and co-pilot of the light aircraft died in the incident.
He added that the victims, believed to be from Johor and Penang, were discovered at around 2pm inside the aircraft’s cockpit, which was buried more than 2m below ground.
Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) confirmed that no distress calls were recorded from the light aircraft that crashed near Kapar.
In a statement, CAAM chief executive officer Datuk Norazmam Mahmud said that the aircraft operated by the Air Adventure Flying Club had departed from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang at 1.28pm for a recreational flight. – February 14, 2024
