KUALA LUMPUR – Catherine, Princess of Wales, made a low-profile appearance in a car near Windsor Castle, amid public concerns over her recovery.

She has not been seen since January when she was hospitalised to undergo abdominal surgery, prompting much speculation on the internet.

She was seen in the front passenger seat of an Audi driven by her mother Carole Middleton, without a heavy security presence.

The princess also sported a pair of sunglasses and a small smile as paparazzi snapped away.

Buckingham Palace had said Catherine would not be able to resume her official duties until Easter, which is at the end of March.

Details about the princess’ health were not disclosed, and the palace would not provide a running commentary on her recovery.

The British royal family has been wrought with health challenges as King Charles III was recently diagnosed with cancer.
