KUALA LUMPUR – The price of Carlsberg and Heineken is expected to increase by 5% from April 1, as reported by Sin Chew Daily.

Petaling Jaya Coffeeshop Association chairman Keu Kok Meng was quoted as saying that retailers have received an official notice on the price increase from the two famous beer brands.

He said they received the notice three weeks ago that prices would increase due to a rise in operational and ingredient costs.

Keu said that the last time beer prices went up was in July 2022, when they increased by 6%.

Retailers have no choice but to pass on increased prices to consumers, he added. – March 28, 2024
