And then there were three: Dolla’s Syasya says bye-bye to girl group

After her noticeable absence from group’s latest public appearances, her departure was announced today, with Syasya Rizal citing ‘personal reasons’ for decision

KUALA LUMPUR – Dolla has announced the departure of Syasya Rizal following her absence from the girl group’s recent public appearances.

23-year-old Syasya who was born in Gelugor, Penang cited “personal reasons” for her decision to leave the group.

“We know that there have been questions about Syasya’s absence recently. With a heavy heart, we would like to announce that due to personal reasons, Syasya has made the decision to withdraw as a member of Dolla.

“We remain fully committed to give the best that we can for all of you, and to continue with the journey that we have planned as Dolla,” the group said in a statement today. 

Despite the departure, remaining members Angel (Angelina Chai Ka Ying), Sabronzo (Wan Sabrina Wan Rusli), and Tabby (Tabitha Ariel Lam) said they still see Syasya as their little sister and wish her all the best. 

Dolla was formed in 2019 and made their debut in 2020 with the single “Dolla Make You Wanna”. – April 8, 2024
