Tragedy in Sibu: KL man killed as car plunges into ditch

According to Fire and Rescue Department, 31-year-old victim identified as John Ray Dohem

KUALA LUMPUR – A 31-year-old man died after his car ended up in a ditch as a result of an accident involving a motorcycle in Mile 6, Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman in Sibu.

The Sg Merah Fire and Rescue Department said the driver was identified as John Ray Dohem from Kuala Lumpur, reported The Borneo Post.

An emergency call was placed at 7.36am today and a rescue team was deployed to the scene.

By the time the team arrived, a car was seen in a ditch, with the victim already removed from the vehicle by members of the public.

Paramedics from Sibu Hospital confirmed the victim had died on the spot. – April 10, 2024
