KUALA LUMPUR – The bodyguard who risked his life and was shot while protecting travel agency owner Farah Md Isa at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Terminal 1, last Sunday, successfully underwent surgery today.

Muhammad Nur Hadith Zaini, 38, is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Cyberjaya Hospital. He is currently unconscious, according to his wife, Siti Noraida Hassan, 38, when contacted by Scoop earlier.

She said he would be in a state of unconsciousness for three or four days, as per the doctor’s advice.

She said that Muhammad Nur Hadith entered surgery at about 12pm yesterday, and the procedure was completed by 4.30pm.

“The surgery was done to treat his intestines, and it will be monitored for five to six days. Temporary dialysis will be necessary for the kidneys, and the spleen is also slightly injured,” she said.

Siti Noraida also requested that the public pray for her husband’s full recovery.

Earlier, Scoop reported that a bodyguard was seriously injured after being shot by Farah’s husband, Hafizul Harawi, 38, in a shooting at 1.30am on Sunday.

Based on investigations, the suspect intended to kill Farah, who was waiting at the arrival hall for Umrah pilgrims to return to Malaysia. He fired twice before fleeing the scene, one of the bullets hitting and severely wounding Muhammad Nur Hadith. – April 17, 2024
