KUALA LUMPUR – Muhammad Nur Hadith Zaini, 38, the injured bodyguard from the KLIA shooting, requested a video call to speak to his three children as soon as he regained consciousness yesterday.
His wife, Siti Noraida Hassan, shared that Nur Hadith longed to see his children, particularly their eldest, with whom he shares a special bond.
“After regaining consciousness, his first request was to video call the children.
“He misses them dearly, especially our eldest child, who is a person with disabilities. He is very close to my husband because he is the one who usually takes care of his needs.
“The children were so happy they got to speak to their father,” she told Scoop, adding that her husband was still in intensive care at Cyberjaya Hospital.
The couple, who are also anticipating the arrival of their fourth child, currently have three children aged three, 10 and 13-years-old.
Siti Noraida also said their children were eager to meet their father at the hospital, as previously they only knew about his condition through video calls.
“They’re eager to see their father, but I can’t take them to him just yet. Up to now, they’ve only been able to see him through video calls.
“Maybe once he’s moved to a regular ward, I’ll be able to bring them to visit him. But for now, they’ll have to be patient,” she said.
At present, only she and immediate family members are permitted to visit her husband during his treatment at Cyberjaya Hospital.
Yesterday, Siti Noraida told Scoop that her husband had regained consciousness and was now able to speak, as he no longer required respiratory assistance.
Last Tuesday, Nur Hadith underwent surgery on his intestines after sustaining injuries in the KLIA incident shooting on April 14. – April 22, 2024
