PKR is family, PM is our father: party’s Hulu Selangor chief

Dr Sathia Prakash Nadarajan utters this as he urged Indian leaders in PKR to follow Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s footsteps in serving the people

KUALA LUMPUR – “PKR is a family and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is our father.”

These were the words of Hulu Selangor PKR chief Dr Sathia Prakash Nadarajan as he urged all Indian leaders in the party to follow the prime minister’s footsteps when serving the community.

“PKR is a family, and our prime minister is like a father to us. We (Indian leaders) are not afraid of anything because we are only doing our job in serving the people.

“In politics, we need to have a lot of patience, so don’t bother about what comes out on social media.

“We just need to continue serving the people as it is our duty to meet them and address their issues,” he said in a meeting today with the PKR Indian leaders.

This comes after some unknown parties spread misleading information about the prime minister’s efforts on social media.

“Our PM has been working hard for the Indian community, but there is a group of people who are spreading misleading information on social media,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sentosa assemblyman Gunaraj George who was present at the meeting, said that the voters in Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) should not be bothered by those trying to allegedly ”manipulate” them to skip the by-election.

…the Urimai party has been asking (the KKB electorates) not to vote to teach us a lesson. They are not even based in the KKB. They all live in Kuala Lumpur and some other places.

“The people of KKB should come out and cast their vote because it is everyone’s right to vote.

“So if you (people of KKB) need anything, please approach us, and we will try to fulfil your needs,” he added.

At the same time, Gunaraj also mentioned that PKR has been serving the people in Selangor for over 15 years, and most of the welfare plans are being implemented as scheduled, while only some will require more time than initially planned.

Apart from the National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund and the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit’s programmes, the Malaysian Indian community will also benefit from more government initiatives in the near future, he said. – April 25, 2024
