No water cuts in May: Sg Selangor treatment plant maintenance delayed

Air Selangor announces that new date for maintenance will be announced later

KUALA LUMPUR – The Sg Selangor Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Phase 1 (SSP1) maintenance that was scheduled to take place from May 14 to 16 has been postponed.

According to Air Selangor’s official Facebook page, the new date for maintenance work will be announced later.

Meanwhile, National Water Services Commission (SPAN) chairman Charles Santiago has also confirmed the postponement when contacted by Scoop today.

Earlier, a 26-page document circulated on social media, listing the affected areas in the Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor districts.

The scheduled water supply disruption would have impacted tens of thousands of households. – April 26, 2024
