KUALA LUMPUR – Refrain from speculating or disseminating false information about the health status of Dewan Negara president Datuk Mutang Tagal, said his office.

In a statement earlier, it also said any updates on his health condition would be provided by the office.

“The family of Senator Datuk Mutang Tagal would like to express their gratitude for the prayers extended to him, and they appreciate the support provided during this treatment period,” the office said.

Mutang is currently receiving treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN), it added.

“He has been receiving treatment at IJN since his arrival yesterday in Malaysia from Azerbaijan.”

In a statement yesterday, the office also said he had arrived in Malaysia yesterday from a working visit to Azerbaijan to receive treatment following health issues he experienced while on the trip.

He was in Azerbaijan for a working visit, which began on April 29, but has returned ahead of schedule. – May 7, 2024
