Malaysia’s flagship Apple Store will open at The Exchange TRX on June 22

This will be the sixth such store in the region, with three in Singapore and two in Thailand

KUALA LUMPUR – The opening of Malaysia’s first official Apple Store is confirmed for 10am on June 22 at The Exchange TRX.

Apple Malaysia’s website announced the date and store venue at L1.40 of the mall, which opened to the public last November.

“We can’t wait to see you. Jom,” Apple Malaysia said on its website.

The Apple Store at The Exchange TRX will be the sixth in the region, after three in Singapore and two in Thailand.

In Malaysia, Apple products have so far been sold at third-party or partner retailers like Machines and Switch.

Prices between these resellers and the official Apple Store are to be the same, but the latter will offer more exciting customer experiences like a mini-theatre and different sections with interactive sessions, services and tech support, besides the store’s much bigger size.

Rumours of an Apple Store’s opening have circulated since The Exchange TRX’s opening last year, in the absence of an official announcement. Netizens speculated excitedly especially after seeing an Apple signboard outside the mall. – May 29, 2024
