KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has appointed Sagar Sanjay Dighe as MAG Catering Operations (MCAT) chief executive officer effective November 1, 2024.

In a statement, the aviation group said Sagar would be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management to ensure MCAT’s continued growth as the group strengthens its non-airline business portfolios.

“As we diversify our business and strengthen our core operations, we remain committed to investing in our people, infrastructure and technology to foster continued growth.

“Our aspiration is to strengthen our non-airline portfolio to contribute 30% of our topline revenue by 2027, reinforcing our position as Asia’s leading travel and aviation services group,” said MAG group managing director Datuk Izham Ismail.

Since its establishment in September 2023, MCAT has transformed from a temporary food and beverage distribution centre at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to a dynamic, standalone entity to drive growth and service quality.

In June 2024, it expanded its operations to 70,900sqft from 36,000sqft, improving capacity and operational efficiency, while upholding the highest standards in food safety and customer satisfaction. – October 1, 2024
