Perodua working to release EVs priced below RM100,000

PM says national tax incentive framework aims to encourage locally-assembled vehicles

KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the national tax incentive framework for electric vehicles (EVs) aims to encourage the industry to transition towards developing locally assembled completely knocked down (CKD) EVs.

While tabling the Budget 2025 in Parliament today, Anwar revealed that local vehicle manufacturer Perodua is currently working on an EV priced below RM100,000 to cater to local demand. – October 18, 2024
