KUALA LUMPUR – Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob was rushed to hospital after losing consciousness this morning.

His press secretary, Azran Fitri Rahim, told Scoop that the 65-year-old Bera MP was brought to the medical facility after he collapsed earlier today.

However, he said Ismail Sabri is reportedly in stable condition at the hospital.

Ismail is currently receiving treatment at Sunway Medical Centre in Kota Damansara, Azran said.

“Yes, that’s correct, but I don’t have complete information. I cannot get in touch with Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri at the moment.

“Datuk Seri is still with his family at this time, so I ask everyone to pray for the best for him,” he said when contacted.

Azran also mentioned that Ismail is not allowed to receive visitors until his health improves.

He clarified that only close family members are permitted to visit Ismail.

“Thank you to everyone who has prayed for his recovery,” he said.

In a Facebook post later, Azran said that Ismail Sabri fully regained consciousness this afternoon but still requires close medical observation.

Meanwhile, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, in a posting on his Facebook, offered prayers for Ismail Sabri’s recovery and well-being. – February 22, 2025
