KUALA LUMPUR – A major revamp will be implemented on Kelantan Darul Naim FC (KDN FC) ahead of the 2025/2026 M-League season, with its CEO determined to resolve outstanding salary arrears and rebuild the squad to be more competitive.
“The most important thing right now is that we do not want to face the same (debt) issues this season.
“We want to begin the new league season debt-free,” said Datuk Mohd Irwan Rizal Ali Napiah, who confirmed that player and coach changes are in the pipeline, Bernama reported.
He said clearing last season’s salary dues is his main focus, alongside ensuring the club meets the Malaysian Football League (MFL)’s licensing requirements.
“We will bring in quality players and coaching staff to ensure KDN FC can compete with other teams in next season’s league campaign,” he said, adding that the overhaul will be carried out within the club’s financial means.
A few remaining licensing documents are still being finalised.
“We are committed to meeting every requirement before the final decision is announced by the MFL. I am confident KDN FC will continue to compete in the M-League,” he added.
Previously, club president Rozi Muhamad acknowledged salary arrears from the 2024/2025 season but assured that efforts were underway to settle them. – May 12, 2025
