SHAH ALAM — Police are searching for a Pakistani national suspected of involvement in multiple cases of sodomy and molestation involving boys and teenagers in Section 27 and Section 28 of Shah Alam this year.

Shah Alam district police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said his department had received four separate reports from victims aged nine, 13, 14, and 19. The incidents, which began in April, are believed to have been committed by the same individual.

“The suspect’s modus operandi is to initially ask for help from the victims and then take them to a secluded area before sodomising or molesting the victim,” he said in a statement issued today.

He added that four investigation papers have been opened — two under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 and two others under Section 377C of the Penal Code, which deals with non-consensual intercourse against the order of nature.

The suspect, identified as Muhammad Hassan, 25, is unemployed. His last known address was at the Taman Bunga Negara flats in Section 27.

Iqbal urged anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Inspector Siti Mahanira Mahat, at 017-644 4895.

Separately, a WhatsApp message that recently went viral has sparked alarm among residents, alleging that a group of Pakistani men had been approaching children — particularly boys — for help, with some reportedly targeting individuals aged 18 and below. — July 5, 2025
