Shabery Cheek reappointed as Felda chairman

Former minister returns to helm land development agency after completing term on June 30, with Felda expressing confidence in his leadership under Malaysia Madani

KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek has been reappointed as chairman of the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), the agency announced in a statement today.

Felda said its management and employees welcomed Shabery’s return, expressing confidence in his leadership to steer the organisation in line with the government’s Malaysia Madani agenda.

“Felda is confident that Ahmad Shabery’s experience, vision and high commitment will continue to drive Felda forward,” the statement read.

Shabery, who previously held the post from July 1 2023, until the end of his contract on June 30 2025, thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the continued trust placed in him. — July 21, 2025
