KUALA LUMPUR – U Mobile has announced a major step towards enabling more Malaysian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to embrace digital transformation with the introduction of its U Biz Bundles, now available at a 50% discount under the government’s Geran Digital Perusahaan Mikro, Kecil dan Sederhana Madani (GDPM) campaign.
The new initiative, which offers up to RM5,000 in subsidies, aims to make essential digital tools more accessible for MSMEs, many of which have limited resources to invest in digitalisation.
With this support, businesses can take advantage of the high-speed 5G connectivity, cybersecurity protection, and free 5G devices and Wi-Fi routers bundled within the U Biz packages, at a significantly reduced cost, the telecommunications company said in a statement.
The three U Biz Bundles—5G Office Secure Bundle, U Biz Secure Bundle, and U Biz Secure+ Bundle—are priced as low as RM39 per month.
The 50% subsidy makes these packages even more affordable, helping businesses digitise without the heavy financial burden typically associated with technology adoption.
For instance, the 5G Office Secure Bundle, originally priced at RM39/month, now becomes even more accessible, offering business broadband, mobile device security, and a Wi-Fi 6 5G Router.
The U Biz Secure+ Bundle, which includes multiple mobile device security, 5G phones, and a Wi-Fi router, is available at just RM180/month with the subsidy.
This affordability is particularly important for MSMEs, who are often constrained by tight budgets but now have an opportunity to modernise their operations with essential digital infrastructure at a fraction of the usual cost.
“U Mobile is delighted to offer three new U Biz Bundles in support of the government’s GDPM campaign as the initiative is fully in line with our commitment to drive enterprise digital adoption as Malaysia’s Next Gen 5G Network provider,” said U Mobile chief business officer Neil Tomkinson.
“Beyond offering quality high-speed 5G connectivity, we have included cybersecurity protection in each of the bundles as we recognise that it is a key pillar for MSMEs to achieve resilience and competitiveness, as outlined in the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint.”
“We are confident that this initiative brings us closer to realising the ambition of making Malaysia a high-income digital nation.” – August 1, 2025
