Tunku Anum, AMD lead the charge as final four confirmed in Minister of education Cup U14

SMK Tunku Anum, AMD, SMK Seksyen 11 Shah Alam, and SMK Taman Desa Skudai have booked their spots in the 2025 Minister of Education Cup U14 semi-finals after an action-packed quarter-final round that showcased Malaysia’s brightest young football talents

KUALA LUMPUR – The race for the 2025 Minister of Education Cup Under-14 title has narrowed to four teams, with SMK Tunku Anum Tunku Abdul Rahman, Akademi Mokhtar Dahari (AMD), SMK Seksyen 11 Shah Alam, and SMK Taman Desa Skudai emerging victorious from their quarter-final battles on Wednesday.

In a tense encounter in Serdang, Muhd Danish Md Nasir became SMK Tunku Anum’s hero after his decisive strike sealed a narrow 1-0 win over the formidable Sekolah Sukan Bukit Jalil, booking their ticket to the semi-finals.

Over in Shah Alam, SMK Seksyen 11 continued their fine form, dispatching SMK Seri Titiwangsa 2-0 courtesy of goals from Syed Shahir Aidil Syed Zahabi and Abdul Muiz Adli Hafzil Adli.

The standout performance of the round, however, came from AMD’s prolific forward Muhd Iman Luthfi Zairol Hisham, whose hat-trick powered his side to a 4-1 win over SMK Ibrahim Fikri. Teammate Ahmad Muzakkif Fitri Muhamad added another goal, while Amir Shami Sazale netted a consolation for the losing side.

Completing the semi-final cast, SMK Taman Desa Skudai’s Muhd Farish Haqiemi Muhd Azharuddin struck twice to down SMK Putera 2-0, sealing a well-earned place in the final four.

The semi-finals are scheduled for October 15, setting the stage for another thrilling chapter in Malaysia’s premier youth football competition, jointly organised by the Ministry of Education and 100PLUS. – October 10, 2025
