Lead singer Vinnie elaborates on the song’s theme: “This song is about those moments when you think you’ve healed — when you think you’ve moved on — only to find yourself picking at the same scars again, repeating the excruciating destructive cycle. We wanted to explore the frustration, the self-awareness, or the lack of self-awareness, and the numbness that comes from living in that loop in this modern age.”
The title, ‘.stitches’ serves as a metaphor for temporary fixes to deep emotional wounds, with the period at the beginning adding a sense of finality, highlighting the never-ending nature of the cycle.
