KUALA LUMPUR – ZUS Coffee has called for public support, asking people to respect the privacy of their staff and avoid sharing videos that reveal identities without consent.

The company issued a statement following a viral video showing an incident at one of its outlets yesterday.

The clip, widely circulated on social media, captured a moment of conflict involving a staff member.

“At ZUS Coffee, our employees and the communities we serve are at the heart of everything we do. We are aware of a video circulating online involving an interaction that occurred at one of our outlets yesterday.

“Since the incident, we have taken the necessary steps to conduct a thorough investigation, and we are standing with our Zurista through this time.”

The company acknowledged the challenges of working in retail and stressed that the situation “should never have escalated the way it did.”

“We ask for your support to refrain from spreading false statements and to help maintain a respectful space online and offline,” the statement read.

The affected employee is currently recovering from the incident, and the company emphasised its commitment to handling the matter “with care and fairness.”

ZUS Coffee reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on disrespectful behaviour and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering “a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone.” — November 10, 2025
