MACC seeks Adam Radlan over probe into MEX II project

The highway project, which was supposed to have been completed in 2019, is embroiled in bribery-related charges

KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is looking for Segambut Bersatu Division deputy chief Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad to help in the investigation into the MEX II Highway project.

Bernama quoted an MACC statement saying that the 44-year-old’s last known address was A16-2, Sunway Pallazio, Jalan Sri Hartamas 3, Sri Hartamas, here.

It said those with information on the man can contact investigating officer G. Sharan Raj at 014-3560771 or via email at [email protected].

In August, Adam was acquitted of 12 corruption and money laundering charges linked to the Jana Wibawa project.

This came after the Attorney-General’s Chambers accepted his representation and confirmed that he had settled a RM4.1 million compound under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.

The MEX II project, meanwhile, has been probed by the MACC.

Early last month, a Datuk and three acquaintances were fined a maximum of RM100,000 each after they pleaded guilty to charges of failing to report being offered bribes of between RM500,000 and RM3.5 million in cash between June 2017 and June 2018.

The funds were rewards to secure three companies as dummy subcontractors for the proposed construction of the Putrajaya-KLIA (MEX II) highway project.

The 18-kilometre MEX II Highway project began construction in 2016 and was supposed to be completed in December 2019.

On Sept 8, Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd director Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamed claimed trial at the Sessions Court to four charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM313 million, and 13 counts of money laundering amounting to RM139 million, in connection with MEX II.– November 15, 2025
