KUALA LUMPUR – The Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS), in collaboration with PACE and the National Sports Council, will provide 1,000 sets of training attire per year for the country’s high-performance athletes over the next two years.
Each Member of Parliament (MP) will also receive a set to support sports programmes in their constituencies and help promote the Team MAS brand.
The initiative forms part of the Team MAS branding under the Youth and Sports Ministry, with plans to use this version for Team MAS merchandise in the future.
The move follows the signing of a two-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Corporate Hero Century Sdn Bhd (PACE), which will supply official training attire for national athletes.
“This training attire is meant not just for daily use, but also for competitions where our athletes represent Malaysia, such as the SEA Games, Asian Games, and the Commonwealth Games,” Hannah added.
National athletes participating in world championships can also request official jerseys.
“Athletes registered with the National Sports Council and receiving grants or regional assistance are eligible to receive official jerseys. For sets priced under RM1,000, they can purchase them at a 50% discount, ensuring wider access to Team MAS apparel,” she said.
Hannah also said that Malaysia currently recognises 103 sporting disciplines, and the partnership with PACE aims to raise the profile of Team MAS while ensuring athletes are properly equipped for international competitions.
“With this collaboration, we hope to not only strengthen the Team MAS brand, but also give our athletes the tools and confidence they need to compete at the highest level globally,” Hannah said. – November 17, 2025
