Anwar announces new Cabinet: Hannah Yeoh and Steven Sim shift Ministries, Zaliha and Na’im dropped

KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today announced the new Cabinet lineup, with several ministers dropped, shifted to different ministries, and new appointments made.

In his announcement, Hannah Yeoh was appointed to replace Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories).

Meanwhile, Hannah’s previous position was filled by Sungai Petani MP, Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari.

Datuk Seri R. Ramanan was also appointed as Minister, taking charge of Human Resources, replacing Steven Sim, who has been moved to the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives.

Additionally, Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad was appointed Minister of Plantation and Commodities, Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup as Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, and Dr Zulkifli Hasan as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs).

Those who were dropped include Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar and Deputy Minister of National Unity K. Saraswathy. – December 16, 2025
