KUALA LUMPUR – The Volvo EX60, a fully electric SUV boasting a range of up to 810 km, is set to make its Malaysian debut.

This all-wheel-drive vehicle features a battery seamlessly integrated into the structure using cell-to-body technology, ensuring improved energy efficiency while shedding unnecessary weight. The EX60’s advanced battery design strikes a balance between energy density and power delivery, helping to extend the driving range.

The vehicle’s SPA3 architecture, described by Volvo as its most advanced electric platform to date, works in harmony with an 800-volt electrical system and in-house developed software, optimising energy transfer into the battery.

Lighter materials and reduced heat generation further contribute to faster charging times. The EX60 can gain up to 340 km of range in just ten minutes using a 400 kW fast charger.

Volvo’s proprietary Breathe Battery Technologies algorithm works with the integrated battery to ensure the system adjusts its power intake, maintaining optimal conditions regardless of the weather.

In addition, the EX60 is the first model to be constructed using mega casting, replacing smaller components with a single high-precision casting, significantly reducing the car’s weight.

With its signature “Hammer of Thor” headlights, the EX60 will be unveiled in Malaysia on January 21, 2026. – January 12, 2026
