KUALA LUMPUR — Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia (PSM) has announced a three-year naming rights partnership with Telekom Malaysia that will see the country’s two flagship venues, Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil and Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil rebranded beginning this month.
Under the agreement, which took effect on March 6, Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil will be known as TM Stadium Nasional, while Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil will be renamed Unifi Arena.
In a statement today PSM chief executive officer Iliyas Jamil said the partnership represents a step towards ensuring the venues remain competitive hosts for major international sports and entertainment events.
“These venues are not merely event locations as they are places where historic moments are created and where Malaysians gather as one,” he said.
Iliyas added that revenue generated from the naming rights agreement will be channelled into upgrading and improving facilities at both venues.
He said the collaboration supports the organisation’s long-term plans to maintain the stadiums at world-class standards.
“As the manager of Stadium Nasional and Stadium Putra, we are committed to ensuring these facilities remain at the highest standard for Malaysians.
“This naming rights collaboration is an initiative by PSM to strengthen the sustainability and long-term development of these venues,” he said.
At the same time,Iliyas said that this initiative forms part of its broader efforts to ensure the stadiums remain relevant, comfortable and competitive as venues for global sporting and entertainment events.
The two stadiums, located within the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex, are Malaysia’s largest sports and entertainment venues and regularly host international football matches, major tournaments, concerts and large-scale national events.
Meanwhile, Telekom Malaysia Group CEO Amar Huzaimi Md Deris said the company was honoured to be entrusted with the naming rights of the iconic venues.
“For eight decades, TM has played an important role in connecting Malaysians across generations.
“Stadium Nasional and Stadium Putra have long been places where Malaysians gather to show support, celebrate achievements and witness historic moments.
Through this collaboration, we hope to further strengthen both stadiums so they remain places that unite communities and inspire national pride for generations to come,” he said. – March 13, 2026
