KUALA LUMPUR – All four children of former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin are scheduled to give statements at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters on April 6.
Datuk Mohamad Zamri Zainul Abidin, director of MACC’s Special Operations Division, confirmed that the individuals’ lawyers had provided a written undertaking that their clients would attend as scheduled, local media reported.
“In this regard, the MACC acknowledges the undertaking and expects the commitment to be fully honoured by all parties involved.
“The MACC is giving the necessary space for them to appear, and should any individual fail to do so as promised, further action will be considered in accordance with the relevant legal provisions,” he told Harian Metro on Tuesday (March 24).
Notices to Trace Individuals had been issued against Asnida, Md Wira Dani, Muhammed Amir Zainuddin and Muhammed Amin Zainuddin following their failure to respond to two official notices served by the MACC regarding asset declarations.
According to the commission, the notices were issued after repeated attempts to contact the four individuals proved unsuccessful as of February 26.
“Their lawyers had earlier informed that their clients were overseas and were also facing difficulties in establishing contact,” Datuk Mohamad Zamri added. – March 24, 2026
