Siti Nurhaliza involved in MEX Highway accident, minor injuries reported

KUALA LUMPUR – National icon Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza was involved in a road accident on the MEX Highway today, according to her manager Rozi Sangdewi. The incident occurred while the singer was returning home after performing in Sepang.

“Many people have contacted us to ask about Siti Nurhaliza. We were in two cars and had just finished a performance in RedQ AirAsia Sepang, and while travelling on the MEX Highway (KM14.2), an accident occurred,” Rozi said, as quoted by Astro Awani.

Rozi confirmed that four vehicles were involved in the collision, including the car carrying Siti. She added that she and Fairuz were a few cars behind at the time of the crash.

“Siti has been taken to hospital for further treatment and was found to have sustained minor injuries,” she said.

News of the accident initially circulated online after a social media user shared a post on Threads.

“Guys, my friend saw Siti Nurhaliza by the highway. Her car is badly damaged. Hope Siti and everyone in the car are okay — I’m really worried,” the post read.

Photos of Siti with her assistant were also shared online, alongside mentions that she had just returned from an event in Sepang.

In the comments, fans and netizens expressed concern, wishing for the safety of Siti and those travelling with her.

Siti Nurhaliza herself shared a message on Instagram Stories, expressing gratitude for being safe, though she did not provide further details about the accident. – April 16, 2026
