KUALA LUMPUR – Caltex Malaysia has announced temporary disruptions in the supply of RON95 petrol and diesel at several of its stations across five states: Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Kelantan.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the company said the disruptions would last for several days starting April 17.

“This is due to unexpected delays at ports, which have affected our delivery schedule.

“We are taking steps to expedite deliveries and minimise disruptions,” it said.

The company also apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience and understanding.

The ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran since February 28 has been among the major disruptions to global oil and gas supply, particularly due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The vital waterway handles about 20% of global oil supply. – April 18, 2026
