Two men arrested over Bangsar shooting, firearms seized

KUALA LUMPUR — Police confirmed the arrest of two men in connection with a shooting incident on Jalan Telawi, Bangsar, last night.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the men, aged 27 and 33, were detained in Klang, Selangor, at approximately 11.45pm on the same day.

“We arrested two local men to assist in investigations. A pistol with one live round and a replica firearm were also seized,” he said in a brief statement today.

Checks revealed that the first suspect had five prior criminal records, while the second had 17, Fadil added.

Both suspects have been remanded for seven days, from today until Wednesday, as investigations into the shooting continue. – April 23, 2026
