N9 polls: Aminuddin to storm Linggi, Loke holds Chennah

PH rolls out full 36‑seat war plan as Anwar rallies thousands, declaring: “This is a good start — give us the mandate to drive Negeri Sembilan forward"

KUALA PILAH – Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has been unveiled as Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) candidate for the Linggi seat in the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election.

Aminuddin, who also chairs Negeri Sembilan PH, is no stranger to the hustings — he has defended Sikamat for four straight terms since 2008.

Joining him on the PH ticket is DAP secretary‑general Anthony Loke, who will again defend Chennah, a seat he has held since 2013.

The announcement came from PH chairman and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at a packed candidate reveal ceremony, attended by top coalition leaders and thousands of supporters.

Also in the front row: Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, PH communications director Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil, and election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

Anwar declared the night “a good start” and voiced hope that voters would hand PH the mandate “to continue enhancing development and the well‑being of Negeri Sembilan.”

The Election Commission has fixed July 18 for nomination, July 28 for early voting, and Aug 1 as polling day.

PH will contest all 36 seats in the Negeri Sembilan assembly. In the last state polls (Aug 2023), PH secured 17 seats, Barisan Nasional 14, and Perikatan Nasional five. – July 15, 2026
