KUALA LUMPUR – Toll collection at the Eco Grandeur Toll Plaza on the KL – Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR Expressway) will begin at 12.01 am tomorrow after motorists enjoyed more than eight months of free passage since the route opened on Nov 11, 2025.
LATAR Expressway said the introduction of toll charges was in accordance with the concession agreement and aimed to ensure the long-term sustainability of highway maintenance, operations and services for motorists.
Its chief operating officer Ahmad Fuad Ahmad Shahimi said the introduction of toll charges was part of the formal operation of the Eco Grandeur Toll Plaza, which had already provided major benefits to motorists, Bernama reported.
“It is one of the key infrastructure projects supporting development in northern Selangor, providing more efficient links between surrounding industrial, commercial and residential areas since its opening last year.
“The Eco Grandeur interchange has enhanced connectivity and eased movement for motorists, especially residents and business operators in areas including Eco Grandeur, Eco Business Park V, Puncak Alam, Ijok and Kuala Selangor,” he said, adding that the charges are based on government-approved rates.
Ahmad Fuad said the Eco Grandeur Toll Plaza has 10 toll lanes, with five lanes in each direction, supporting multiple payment methods including Touch ‘n Go, SmartTAG, RFID and debit or credit cards to facilitate smoother and more efficient transactions.
Toll charges have been set at RM1.15 for Class 1 vehicles, RM2.30 for Class 2 and RM3.45 for Class 3 vehicles, with taxis (Class 4) charged RM0.57 and buses (Class 5) RM1.15.
