KUALA LUMPUR – The 1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang (1R1JG) campaign has been strengthened through the Ekspresi Jalur Gemilang Japen@Petronas programme, held simultaneously at 15 selected Petronas stations nationwide today.
Organised by the Information Department (Japen) in collaboration with Petronas, the initiative serves as a platform to promote patriotism and nurture a greater sense of love for the country among Malaysians in conjunction with National Month celebrations.
Under the programme, the first 200 motorists at each participating station received free Jalur Gemilang magnetic stickers, encouraging the public to display the national flag on their vehicles throughout the celebration period.
Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil also participated in the initiative by placing the magnetic stickers on vehicles at the Petronas station along the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) in Pantai Dalam as a symbolic gesture of support for the campaign.
He said the magnetic stickers were introduced this year following feedback from the public, with their removable feature allowing users to easily attach and remove them from vehicles without leaving any residue.
“I have also asked for the official song, the theme song for this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, Aku Berjanji by Faizal Tahir, to be played more frequently, including by the Information Department, RTM and all radio and television stations,” he told reporters after the event.
Fahmi said this year’s 1R1JG initiative comprises 11 programmes under nine clusters, including education, health, security, community, industry, houses of worship and sports.
He added that the activities are being conducted at nearly 2,000 locations nationwide to encourage wider public participation in National Month celebrations. – August 9, 2026
