KUALA LUMPUR – Presenter Nani Roslan has publicly repudiated viral claims linking her to a high-profile khalwat raid involving former Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, condemning the wave of lewd comments and character assassination directed at her online.

Taking to her Instagram account (@NaniRoc) to clear her name, Nani stated that while she initially felt no need to address the baseless rumors, the escalating barrage of misogynistic abuse forced her hand.

“I believe no woman should be sexualised, humiliated, or demeaned based purely on baseless assumptions,” she declared.

Nani also flatly denied malicious allegations suggesting she had orchestrating or colluded in planning the incident: “I want to emphasize here: those allegations are completely untrue.”

Addressing her career as a media personality, Nani stressed that her professional assignments should not be conflated with personal or political alignments. She revealed that even prior to this controversy, she faced blacklisting, last-minute cancellations, and removal from hosting line-ups simply due to past professional gigs associated with political figures.

“Carrying out my professional duties does not mean I endorse the political views of any party,” she explained, adding that her tenure as a podcast host had officially ended on September 30, 2026.

While acknowledging the public’s curiosity surrounding the controversy, Nani cautioned online commentators against crossing legal and moral boundaries.

“Curiosity is not a crime, but it should never be used as an excuse to act rudely or spread groundless accusations,” she warned.

“Freedom of speech is not a license to slander, and defamatory acts carry serious legal consequences.” – October 18, 2026
