KUALA LUMPUR – The Human Resources Ministry (Kesuma) is taking serious allegations of various attempts by interested parties to interfere with and derail the review process and governance reforms at Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp).
The move follows the discovery of information and evidence indicating that certain parties had allegedly spread misleading information, influenced agency personnel and diverted attention from the key issues under scrutiny.
In response to these alleged actions, several official reports have been submitted to the authorities to enable independent and thorough investigations.
In a statement today, Kesuma stressed that the ministry would not compromise on any attempts to use positions, influence or networks to undermine the integrity of the investigation.
“The ministry takes these allegations seriously, given the potential for such interference to compromise the independence of the review process. We leave it entirely to the authorities to establish the facts and take legal action if there are grounds to do so,” the statement said.
The governance overhaul and review were initiated after Kesuma and TalentCorp management identified several critical weaknesses in governance.
These include issues involving the company’s constitutional provisions, compliance with internal policies, as well as shortcomings in the organisation’s integrity and accountability mechanisms.
The ongoing investigation covers all levels, from employees to TalentCorp’s top management, with everyone instructed to provide full cooperation without evasion.
Despite the agency being under investigation and undergoing governance reforms, Kesuma assured that TalentCorp’s daily operations and strategic national talent development programmes would remain unaffected and continue as usual. – October 22, 2026
