KUALA LUMPUR – The Confidence and Supply Agreement (CSA) signed by the Madani Government with Bersatu and several opposition Members of Parliament today serves as an important foundation for strengthening political stability in the country, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In a Facebook post, Anwar said the signing of the agreement was aimed at ensuring the continuity of government administration while providing room for the country’s development agenda, including the effective implementation of Budget 2027 for the benefit of the people.

He said in a democratic system, differences in views should not be allowed to hinder efforts to work together to build a better future for the country.

“Political maturity requires all parties to put the interests of the country above narrow political interests, to ensure that Malaysia remains peaceful, stable and progressive, while the well-being of the people is always safeguarded,” he said.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, expressed hope that the understanding would serve as a basis for constructive cooperation, strengthen confidence in the democratic process and pave the way towards a more prosperous future for Malaysia and all its people. – October 29, 2026
