ARTISTS Shamsuri Atan and Anas Hanafi work on portraits commissioned by customers at the Dhanik Studio Art Lane in Central Market, Kuala Lumpur.
Among their many works is a portrait of the incoming Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar (right), who will ascend to the throne on January 31.
Poignantly, the portrait of the first Sultan of Johor in the modern era, Sultan Sir Abu Bakar Al-Khalil Ibrahim Shah ibni Almarhum Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Daeng Ibrahim Al-Aydrus, is also on display (left). – January 23, 2024
