THAIPUSAM, celebrated by Hindu devotees today, was embraced with full joy and happiness throughout the country.

The festive atmosphere at the Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple in Batu Caves was palpable, with a sea of Hindu worshippers thronging the temple to fulfil their vows.

They carried ‘Paal Kudam’ (milk pots) and ‘kavadi’, in addition to breaking coconuts and shaving their heads, as acts of atonement and thanksgiving. – January 25, 2024
