SEPANG – The MotoGP circus arrived at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) which began on February 1 until 3 for the Shakedown Test, which was then followed by the Official Winter Test on February 6 until 8.
Teams came with the latest iteration of their high-performance machinery to test them in the unpredictable weather of Sepang, where extremely hot conditions can change to wet monsoon rain in a flash.
Defending constructors champions Ducati set the pace on the final day with current world champion Francesco Bagnaia blazing the Sepang tarmac setting the fastest lap ever at the circuit, registering a time of 1:56.682 seconds.
The action resumes at the Lusail International Circuit from February 19 to 20 before the season flags off at the same venue on March 7 to 9 for the Qatar GP. – February 10, 2024
