Photo of the day: A planned iftar menu or just winging it?

9:17 PM MYT

ROWS of grilled “Sayap Sabah” or Sabahan-style chicken wings are arranged and hung neatly on a coal barbecue pit to be kept warm.

The smell and sight of the succulent delicacy, marinated in special spices before being grilled to perfection, entice Ramadan bazaar visitors at Jalan Raja Alang, Kg Baru.

This sweet and slightly spicy bazaar staple is often chosen as an iftar appetiser or main course for Muslims – sometimes even for “moreh” or supper. – March 17, 2024
