Bursa Malaysia suspends short selling of Boustead Plantations shares

Stock exchange regulator says it will be reactivated 8.30am tomorrow

KUALA LUMPUR – Bursa Malaysia has suspended the short selling of Boustead Plantations Bhd securities for the rest of the day under intraday short selling (IDSS).

The suspension was made after the last done price of the group’s approved securities dropped more than 15% from the reference price.

“The short selling under the IDSS will only be activated the following trading day, Tuesday, at 8.30am,” the stock exchange regulator said.

At 11am, Boustead Plantations shares stood at RM1.22, down 24 sen or 16.43%, with 25.01 million shares traded. – October 2, 2023
