KUALA LUMPUR – After going missing for nearly two days, 14-year-old Muhammad Daniel Akmal Zulkhairi has finally been reunited with his family.

The good news was shared by Facebook user Yusri Yunos last night in a series of photos of the boy with a few individuals.

According to Yusri’s profile, he is an Islamic Education teacher at SM Sains Alam Shah, the same school Daniel attends.

“Alhamdulillah… (he) is found safe and healthy after a two-day search. Thank you to all who helped, including Daniel’s family, school community, Cheras police, Saidina Othman mosque community, Bandar Tun Razak residents and those in the surrounding areas,” according to the post.

Based on the photos shared, Daniel was found wearing a black T-shirt and long pants while holding a book.

Yesterday, Cheras district police chief Zam Halim Jamaluddin told Scoop that efforts to locate the teenager had been stepped up.

Daniel was last seen around 12.30am Thursday in the vicinity of SM Sains Alam Shah along Jalan Yaacob Latif in Cheras. The police received a report of the missing student at 1.21pm on the same day. – December 9, 2023
