Blaze engulfs house in Taman OUG, destroying small room

Incident takes place noon today with neighbours seen trying to help put out fire raging on first floor

KUALA LUMPUR – A house in Taman OUG here went up in flames around noon today as nearby residents were seen on video trying to help put out the blaze that was raging on the first floor.

The Fire and Rescue Department here said a team of 18 firefighters from three stations – Sri Petaling, Bukit Jalil and Seputeh – were deployed.

An emergency call was placed at 12.02pm and the team arrived at the location in six minutes.

The fire destroyed a room measuring 10x10ft but was extinguished by 12.42pm.

No injuries were recorded and the cause of the fire is being investigated. – February 17, 2024
