SANDAKAN – About seven men had an unforgettable experience on the second day of Raya after they fell into the sea when the veranda of a house in Kampung Tinusa 2 here collapsed.

In a video that was circulated on social media, the men were seen laughing in waist-deep water dressed in their Raya clothes trying to climb out.

According to Kg Tinusa 2 villager, Osman Tiakok, told Scoop that the house has a section selling snacks with seats placed on the veranda for customers.

“The men (who fell into the water) were my friends. They had just finished performing their Raya prayers and gathered in front of the shop to hang out. But the veranda suddenly collapsed and they fell into the water.

“No one was harmed because it was high-tide at the time. This was surely an unforgettable Raya experience.”
