Amanah’s Dzulkefly tells Perikatan to walk the talk after ‘power abuse’ remark

He cites his visit to a public hospital today as an example of being able to 'practise what you preach' after rivals issue 'reminder' amid Kuala Kubu Baharu poll

KUALA KUBU BAHARU – Start practising what you preach before alleging government parties of power abuse during the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election, Amanah strategic director Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad tells rival Perikatan Nasional (PN).

“Anyone can make such remarks that everyone must be responsible and honest, which I don’t even need to comment on.

“(However)…whatever we say, (do) practise what we preach. If we want to make such a statement, we must walk our talk,” he said at a press conference after a working visit to a public hospital here today.

He was referring to PN’s statement reminding all political parties, especially the government’s, to not abuse their power to influence voters in the upcoming by-election.

Dzulkefly, who is also Kuala Selangor MP, said he was here today as an example of walking the talk as the Health Ministry’s programme had been planned some time back.

Previously, Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming announced an allocation of RM5.21 million for the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council to improve public infrastructure under its purview. – April 26, 2024
